BIOGRAPHY

Mauro Dal-Cin is the Senior Researcher at Natural Resources Canada, where he has dedicated more than three decades to advancing technologies in membrane separations, mineral flotation, and hydrometallurgy. His current work focuses on lithium-ion battery recycling and the recovery of cathode materials using supported liquid membranes.

Mauro’s experience includes computational fluid dynamics, techno-economic analysis, and the design of pilot-scale systems. His research continues to shape innovative solutions for sustainable mineral processing and the circular economy within the energy transition.
