BIOGRAPHY

Ben Yu is the Team Lead for the Next Generation Clean Energy Process Technology team at the Clean Energy Innovation Research Centre of the National Research Council. His work focuses on developing advanced process technologies and flowsheets for battery materials, with particular emphasis on lithium-ion battery recycling.

Before joining the NRC, Ben served as the Senior Metallurgist at SGS Lakefield in Ontario. His experience includes flowsheet design for industrial minerals such as rare earths, niobium, lithium and graphite, supporting innovation in clean energy materials.
